The $787 Billion stimulus bill has netted 17,000 solar jobs from the "green" administration. To say that is deplorable is a gross understatement. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to reach the goal of bringing solar energy to the forefront of meeting our country's energy demands. With help from the current economic stimulus package we can do what was only dreamed of before, bring clean distributed energy to the homes of millions of Americans. But we need to act now. To this end the goal of this website is bringing citizens together to help draft legislation to provide government assistance in the manufacture, distribution and installation of solar panels on residential rooftops all across America. We want this legislation to be the combined effort of citizens and their representatives in government.

The type of legislation desired is significantly different than that provided previously for solar energy. Rather than providing rebates or other benefits, this legislation would provide funding to manufacture and install millions of solar panels. It is the economy of scale provided by this level of production that will make solar energy a viable alternative to current sources.

The major benefits are:
- Much lower Utility costs. By installing economical solar panels the majority of the average U.S. household's energy will be free from the sun.
- Increase in property value. Instead of paying utility bills the homeowner would be paying off the loan on the solar equipment. And after that the energy would be free!
- Cheaper Gas prices - everyone will benefit from a massive reduction in the need for fossil fuel, especially at the pump!

Implementing solar panels on residential rooftops is a plan that can be executed in a fraction of the time of the "popular" ideas being considered now. This means a cleaner environment sooner. |

US Jobs! Currently there is $54 billion earmarked in the current economic stimulus package for “Clean, Efficient, American Energy” and also $16 billion for “Transform our Economy with Science and Technology”. Of that $70 billion $0 is going specifically for solar, but there is $8 billion for “Renewable Energy Loan Guarantees”. This is precisely where a program of distributed, residential solar manufacturing could make the greatest impact on American jobs and the economy.

Residential solar can be implemented much sooner than other plans since it is done one household at a time. The costs are turned into investments for individual property owners. The big energy companies cannot make changes with similar benefits until much later and their conversions will cost their consumers, who will ultimately be paying rather than investing. |
